Google and Meta Ads for Dental Clinics
Before we run your ads, we ask the question most agencies never do: is this an awareness problem?
Mint Ops manages Google Ads and Meta Ads for dental clinics across Canada, with management fees from $400 a month and ad spend paid separately.
Paid advertising on Google, Meta or both is the right tool when your clinic has the capacity to absorb new patients and the primary obstacle is that the right people don't know you exist. When that's your situation, ads work. When it isn't, we'll tell you what to fix first.
The problem
Ads run on the wrong problem are expensive and temporary.
A general agency will run the ads regardless. It's what they sell, so it's what they recommend, and for a while it even looks like it's working. Clicks arrive. Calls happen. The report is full of numbers.
But if the real problem was recall, retention, scheduling efficiency, or a patient experience that isn't converting referrals, the spend could not fix it. The new patients arrive, the underlying problem keeps operating, and when the budget stops, everything returns to where it started, minus the budget.
The other common failure is spray-and-pray targeting: generic dental ads, broad geography, no connection to what the clinic wants to be known for. Those campaigns buy the most expensive clicks in the account: the ones from people who were never going to be your patients.
In plain terms
How paid advertising works.
Every ad you see on Google or in a social feed won an auction a moment before it appeared. Advertisers bid on searches and on audiences; the platform decides whose ad shows, and you pay when someone clicks. What separates a campaign that fills chairs from one that burns budget is everything wrapped around it: which searches and audiences you bid on, in what geography, with what message, and what happens after the click.
The two platforms reach people at different moments. Google Ads reaches patients who are actively searching for care right now: someone typing “emergency dentist” at 9 p.m. is about to become somebody's patient. Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) reach people who aren't searching yet but are exactly the kind of person you want walking through your door. Both have their place, and the right mix depends on whether you need patients this month or presence in your community over time.
The targeting follows the same three inputs as everything else we do: the services you want to be known for, the demand for those services in your area, and how competitive, and so how expensive, those clicks are locally. And because every impression, click, and dollar is measurable, the campaign is never left alone: results come in, targeting and messaging get adjusted, and budget moves toward what's working. That ongoing measurement is included, and it is what separates managed campaigns from expensive ones.
Dental clinics often get overcharged for paid advertising, usually because nobody explains what is being done with the money. Managing campaigns well takes daily attention, and that is the part clinics hand to us.
The service
We won't recommend ads until we're confident they're the right move.
When ads are the right move, we run them with the same specificity we bring to SEO: targeted to the services your clinic wants to be known for, in the area where your patients are, with messaging that reflects the personality and positioning your social presence has already established.
Every campaign is visible through the same client portal that tracks your SEO and social performance. Ad spend, impressions, clicks and outcomes are all in one place. Ben Pourani leads regular performance reviews so campaigns are adjusted as results come in instead of running unattended until the budget is gone.
And because we come from the operations side of dental, we watch what your other marketing can't see: whether the new demand is converting into booked, kept appointments. If it isn't, that's a finding, and we'll bring it to you instead of hiding it under a clicks chart.

Questions
Asked before you ask.
Google Ads or Meta Ads: which one does my clinic need?
They do different jobs. Google reaches patients actively searching for care right now, who are ready to book. Meta (Facebook and Instagram) reaches people who aren't searching yet but are exactly who you want walking through your door. Which one, or whether to run both together, depends on your clinic's situation, and we settle that before anything goes live.
How much do I need to spend on the ads themselves?
It depends on your market and your goal. A competitive urban area costs more per click than a smaller community. We recommend a spend in the strategy meeting, sized to what you're trying to achieve, and every dollar of it is visible in your portal alongside what it produced. We'd rather run a smaller budget well than a big one on autopilot.
How fast do ads produce results?
Faster than anything else we offer. Campaigns can produce calls within days of going live. The trade-off is that the visibility only lasts while the campaign runs. That's why we often pair ads with SEO, which compounds over time.
What if ads aren't what my clinic needs?
Then we'll tell you, before you spend anything. If your real problem is recall, retention, or scheduling efficiency, new patients arriving through ads won't fix it: the patients arrive and the underlying problem remains. We come from dental operations, so we check for that first.
What does management cost?
Google Ads management is $400/month, Meta Ads is $400/month, and a combined Google + Meta campaign managed as one integrated strategy is $750/month. These are management fees. Ad spend is separate and paid to Google or Meta at cost, with no markup.
