The Mint Ops Gift in Kind program exists for two types of organizations: registered charitable dental clinics serving communities that would otherwise have limited or no access to professional dental care, and accredited dental schools training the next generation of dental professionals in Canada.
Charitable dental clinics come in many forms: community health centres, volunteer-run clinics, faith-based organizations, and non-profits serving patients with disabilities, low-income populations, newcomers, Indigenous communities, or underserved rural and remote areas. What they share is a mission that puts patient access above profitability, and an operational reality that requires professional tools without a private practice budget.
Dental schools carry a different but equally important responsibility: providing supervised clinical care to patients who might not otherwise have access to it, while training the graduates who will define the standard of care in Canadian dentistry for the next generation. These are real clinics, treating real patients, under the supervision of experienced faculty. They require the same professional practice management infrastructure as any operating dental clinic, because that is what they are.
How it works.
The process is straightforward. Reach out and tell us about your organization: what you do, who you serve, and what you're looking for from a practice management platform. We'll confirm your eligibility, walk you through the onboarding process, and get MaxiDent running for your team.
In return, we ask for three things: the Mint Ops logo displayed on your organization's website or materials, a do-follow backlink to mintops.ca, and a letter acknowledging the Gift in Kind contribution. That's it.

Treatment & A/R
Outstanding treatment plans tracked and followed up from inside the software, with any patient-side balance managed alongside the clinical record. Where sliding-scale fees, funding programs, and partial patient portions all meet in one chart, keeping the plan and the balance together is what stops accepted treatment being lost between the appointment and the follow-up.
